Invico Capital Corporation is pleased to announce it was the winner in two categories at last night’s 2023 Wealth Professional Awards. Invico was the proud recipient of the Alternative Investment Solutions Provider of the Year award, which recognizes the outstanding firm specializing in alternative investments that has consistently delivered exemplary service to advisors while pushing the boundaries of innovation and industry best practices over the past twelve months.

Invico’s Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager, Allison Taylor, was also the proud recipient of the CEO of the Year award, which recognizes the exceptional leadership of a CEO within the wealth management industry who has brought their organization to new levels of growth and success over the past year.

Invico had a record year of growth and performance in 2022, including nearly doubling assets under management from $1.4 billion to over $2.1 billion while nearly doubling employee headcount. A significant driver of Invico’s success came from the robust performance of its signature fund, Invico Diversified Income Fund (“IDIF”), which grew its assets under management from $342 million to over $424 million and announced the issuance of four additional distributions to unitholders above the target rate of return. IDIF was also recognized for excellence at the 2022 Canadian Hedge Fund Awards with a first-place finish in the Best 1-Year Return, Private Debt category and two second-place finishes in the Best 3-Year Return, Private Debt, and Best 5-Year Return, Private Debt categories.

Much of Invico and IDIF’s success is attributed to Allison, who is an avid supporter of gender equality in the workplace and is renowned for her diligent management and expertise. With a majority-female workforce, Invico stands out from other investment fund management firms in Canada. Allison is also a staunch advocate of giving back to the community and spearheaded the launch of several charitable giving initiatives in 2022.

Both Invico and Allison were recognized among other leaders in the Canadian wealth industry, who came together in Toronto to celebrate the best in class at an awards gala. The ninth annual Wealth Professional Awards brought together financial advisors, brokerages, fund managers, business development managers, and service providers for a night of festivities, including a cocktail reception, dinner banquet with an awards ceremony, and a post-awards celebration.

This year’s awards mark the fourth and fifth times that Invico has been recognized for excellence in the wealth management industry by Wealth Professional Canada. Earlier this year, Invico’s Vice President of Sales East, David Roy, was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 50 Wholesalers, while Associate Vice President of Investments, Megan Martin, was recognized in 2021 as a Rising Star and one of Canada’s most promising young professionals aged 35 years or younger. In 2019, Allison was the proud recipient of the Wealth Professional Female Executive of the Year award at the Women in Wealth Management Awards.

Congratulations to Invico and Allison on your accomplishments!
