The Canadian Sport Institute’s (CSI) “Coming Together” campaign concluded this month after a series of events centred around celebrating the accomplishments of athletes, para-athletes, and staff who represented our country on the world stage at the 2021 Tokyo Summer and 2022 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Invico Capital Corporation was proud to serve as one of the campaign’s sponsors and support local and national events and sports.
The campaign, which included several school visits, the Game Plan Day in Canada event, and a celebratory gala, was established to highlight the hard work and dedication of both Canadian high-performance athletes and para-athletes and CSI service providers. Over 600 students were reached as part of the campaign, with school visits featuring discussions on physical and mental health led by Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes. The Game Plan Day in Canada event was attended by Invico’s Chief Executive Officer, Allison Taylor, and President, Jason Brooks, and featured career development and networking opportunities for Albertan athletes and para-athletes. And the culminating event of the entire campaign, the Red White & Gold Gala, took place in Calgary, AB, and served as an evening of celebration and appreciation. Invico had several members of its staff on-site and enjoyed connecting with the athletes and members of the local investment and business communities.
